Amanda Hayley
Amanda’s connection to nature began as an endurance trail runner in her teenage years. Following college, she spent three months in the Patagonia backcountry, an adventure that planted seeds for eventual life change. Amanda dedicated over ten years to a corporate career in operations management. Growing tired of days spent in front of a computer screen, in 2021 Amanda decided to commit fully to a life outdoors. She now resides in Blue Hill with her partner Mike, in a house she proudly helped build.
Amanda was previously the Director of Operations at Kammok, an outdoor gear company based in Austin, TX. She has traveled around the world camping, hiking, backpacking, and mountaineering. She is a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School and a former apprentice at Earth Native Wilderness School.
Amanda has found great personal healing through her time spent in nature. She is passionate about helping break down barriers to entry for newcomers to the outdoor space. Amanda’s happy place is hiking in the mountains or writing by the fire.
